The Bass Fisherman

On February 23, 2008, I was fishing on a local lake, and I was introduced to a local fisherman, who has now become my mentor and fishing coach, Dominick Simone. And that’s all she wrote!

While attending Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia, PA I along with a good friend Troy Eikenberry created a fishing club and team where we participated in FLW College Fishing Tournaments. I can honestly credit FLW College Fishing for jump-starting my Professional Bass Fishing Career.

After having a few successful college fishing years I decided to step it up a notch and to fish the FLW EverStarts Northern Division in 2011. With being extremely blessed, I won the opener on Lake Champlain, and continued to have solid finishes, and ended the year 2nd in points, which enabled me to fish the FLW Championship on Kentucky Lake where I finished 16th, and also qualified myself to fish the FLW Tour in 2012.

With graduating Chestnut Hill College with a BA in Business Administration, and being supported by my family and community I decided to take a chance! 2012 marked my Rookie Year on the FLW Tour, and I managed to hold my own, finishing 23rd in AOY Points and 2nd in ROY just behind great young fisherman Clent Davis. Each individuals goal is different, but mine was to take one event at a time, and to qualify for the Forest Wood Cup on Lake Lanier which I ended up 36th. Hats off to Rookie Jacob Wheeler for winning that event!

This year marks my second year on tour, and I am really looking forward to getting out there to further my knowledge about fishing. It is going to be another interesting year considering I have only fished one out of the six places we go.  But I a fortunate to run the fastest and most reliable boat and motor package on the market "BassCat Eyra/ Mercury 250 ProXs."

The momentum has not stopped since I have started, and I am extremely blessed with some great finishes, but more so for the people I have met along my journey. The staff of FLW has become family, and it is hard for myself to refer to the people I compete against as competitors because they are more like friends. I have also been blessed with some great relationships within the industry, representing the best companies hands down such as: BassCat Boats, Mercury Marine, Lowrance, Power-Pole, Halo Fishing, All-Terrain Tackle, and Vineland Auto Electric.
